On March 30, an international municipal conference was held on the topic "Coronavirus Prevention in the BRICS Municipalities". The conference was held within the framework of the Project of International Municipal BRICS Cooperation in the format of a teleconference.

From March 6 to 9, authorized representatives of the Organizing Committee of the international Municipal BRICS Forum were on a working visit to New Delhi, the Republic of India. The purpose of the trip was business meetings with IMBRICS partners

On this occasion on February 26, a working meeting was held in the administration of St. Petersburg on the organization of the IMBRICS Forum – 2020. The meeting was held with the participation of the chairman and representatives of the Committee for Economic Policy

From 3 to 6 February, 2020, the head of the department for development of the organizing committee of the BRICS International Municipal Forum, Mikhail Sverdlov, made a working visit to Italy. The purpose of the visit was the formal transfer of invitations to the representatives of Italian

The dates of the II International Municipal BRICS Forum have been determined. The II International Municipal BRICS Forum will be held from 5 to 6 November 2020 in St. Petersburg. This was announced by Mikhail Cherepanov, the head of the organising committee of IMBRICS Forum.  

The first International Municipal BRICS Forum was held from 20 to 22 September with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation within the framework of the international municipal BRICS cooperation project. The event attracted the participation of the BRICS municipalities.

As part of the Project of International Municipal BRICS Cooperation, St. Petersburg hosted the I International Rugby-7 Tournament among youth municipal teams from the BRICS countries. The event was held in 2 stages: regional (qualifications) and international (final).

From 21 to 26 July 2019 the head of the Project of international municipal BRICS cooperation Mikhail Cherepanov made a working visit to the Federative Republic of Brazil. The invitation was extended by the government of Guarulhos municipality.

On July 13-14, St. Petersburg hosted an official delegation from India. The request was made by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of India to the head of the Project of international municipal BRICS cooperation Mikhail Cherepanov.

On May 13-16, the head of the Project of international municipal BRICS cooperation took part in the international summit GHMS-2019, which was held in Changsha, China. He presented the Project of international municipal BRICS cooperation to the participants.

A working meeting was held within the framework of the international forum "Vision India 2019" in New Delhi, during which Mr Cherepanov presented the project of international municipal BRICS cooperation to the Indian Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and discussed India's participation.

A conference on the BRICS municipalities' interaction was held within the walls of the Presidential Library on Senate Square between official representatives of the organising committee of the project of international municipal BRICS cooperation and a delegation from the Republic of South Africa.
